So, where are we in the adoptiong process?
Just wanted to leave a post that would help family and friend that have not gone through an adoption. So, after we accepted our referral we wait for an invitation to visit her. We are hoping it will be sometime around Jan. 16. But we haven't heard anything. That visit should be about 5 days or so. Come home without her :(. Wait until our paper work is done in Kyrgyzstan which should take about 4-6 weeks..Then we go bring our daughter home (that sounds cool "our daughter"), that trip will be a longer one.
I got her bedding in the mail today, and I was so excited to open the box...then I looked at it ...
Yuck it looks. Well, not what I thought it should look like. So, I will probably return it. I should have known. Oh well, I tired. I have bought several outfits, and my sister came over the other night with some clothes for her. A beautiful Christmas dress for next year. I can't wait to see her in it. Well, I'm off to the Dr I have been sick with the running nose, cough..you name it for 7 days.

Selecting a name!
Well, after hours and hours of searching for a name...We still don't have one. And the problem is we need one asap for the adoption papers...Her birth name is Daana. We are wondering how that would be pronounced? Any idea??? We thought Dana. So, we are still on website looking and looking...We can't agree on a name...Maybe we will take my Dad's advice...And name her "hey you" j/k

Referral~
Ok, we have accepted the referral! Now we have to come up with a name!!! Just not any name either. So, any comments?? We are hoping to have new pictures of her next week. The one of her is not very clear. This what we know about her, other than she is a DOLL! Beautiful eyes, lips and plenty of hair.
Birthday ~ October 16, 2007
Birth weight ~ 3lbs 9 oz (tiny)
Her weight now ~ 5lbs 7 oz (growing)
Length now ~ 19.25
Born at 37 weeks
She is soooo tiny, it kinda worries me.
Our advocate said we should be traveling soon, mid January. Please keep us in your prayers!
And let me here about names?? Or names to go with the following first names
1. Josie
2. Leah
3. Dani

Wow, what a day can bring!
In part of her concert, she asked you to remember a Christmas Memory...And I was thinking of my childhood, Going to my Mamaw and Papaw's house for Christmas...There was so many kids, grandkids, great-grandkids...And not enough money for toys...But we got a brown paper bag full of fruit, a WHOLE pack of gum (that you didn't have to share) a Chick-O stick and finally a candy cane..I remember that best of all...And boy do I miss that...The simple things in life...what would we give to go back to those days...Then I was thinking about the referral and how this is going to change our lives..And that this is the last Christmas with just the four of us..Next year it will be the 5 of us...Christmas Blessing we all should take a moment to think about...
Ok, now let's share them!! Kinda a TAG for Memories! God Bless and keep us in your prayers...

Tag!
Another mother blog http://kyrgyzheart.blogspot.com/ tagged me today. She is on her way to Kyrgyzstan. So, here goes.
1. Danny and I are high school sweethearts..We dated for 3 years broke up for 3 years and will be celebrating our 15th year anniversary in Feb.
2. I am a Full time Realtor, which I love my job, sometimes it's very demanding and very rewarding. I started selling real estate about 4 years ago. Before I was a Realtor I was a stay at home mom (for the most part) I plan on working after the baby comes home. But not as much..
3. I found out I was expecting I was at the Dr's...long story about getting pregnant and how Samuel's name came about! And then when Samuel was 12 weeks...well I found out once again..Johnny was born 6 days shy of Samuel's first birthday...Irish twins...It was very hard those first years, but now I wouldn't change it for the world.
4. I wish I could change the world one step at a time...And make time for others.
5. I would love to start exercising, just easier to sit with a bag of chocolate and read a book
6. I love to shop and would love to be a professional shopper, No I'm not a shopolic but enjoy spending someone else's money!!!
7. I love to read, Nicolas Sparks (he can't write them fast enough for me) Karen Kingsbury just finished one of her last night "Dandeline Dust" great book about an adoption story
8. Love to read blogs, big internet shopper.
9. Love being a mom, wife, friend, sister and daughter...
10. CAN'T WAIT TO MEET MY DAUGTHER....soon

Tis' the Season to be..........
Ok, I kinda had a melt down this past week.... So, then I start to get kinda depressed and very moody! And this is an email I sent out.
I know not everyone can understand why we have decided to adopted. And sometimes I question myself. And tonight was one of them. I was thinking
I'm soooo busy working, raising two boys, being a wife, friend , a daughter, sister and sometimes I'm selfish. I was making up excuses on why we shouldn't adopt.
And then I was looking at a blog of an adopted family..She had this link on her site.
So, at first I thought it was just a blog about abandoned children...Well, after a lot of tears...I don't think I should be questioning myself...
We are going to change a life...One that could have turned out to be on this link below...If we can change one thing in this world, it's a start!
http://abandoned-orphaned.typepad.com/paulmyhill/
So, in my melt down. I emailed our advocate Maria...And what she said kinda opened my eyes..I'm very thankful she is our advocate, God knew what he was doing....
She told me "Be emotional your paper pregnant! My God have ice cream and pickles or what ever, cry, be happy at the same time emotion is good. You are made after Gods image and even He had emotions."
Well I never thought about it that way..I haven't been this emotional well since I was pregnant with the boys. Oh boy does Danny remember that. The poor guy couldn't do anything right. :) Some of the guys at work was asking how the adoption is going..and his comment was "it's amazing she can't have biological children but she is going through the emotions, it's like her Mothering instinct has kicked in"
I would have never thought I would be this emotional. And sometimes I just can't stand myself...and that's bad :)
So, if another adoptive family reads this...Comments on the emotional roll coaster??? And how you have dealt with them. And handling comments about are you crazy for adopting? Because sometimes that hurts, you just want support..anyways :) I'm on my soap box again..
And I'm almost done shopping...grrr I usually am done by Nov., but like my older post I keep ending up in the baby section. The day to start baby shopping is coming soon...(I pray)

Waiting
Just wondering when the referral will come. I find myself baby shopping when I should be Christmas shopping. I have not bought the first baby item yet! And it's driving me crazy! I have found a couple of sellers on ebay that have beautiful bedding..and my finger wants to go to BID or even better BUY NOW!!!
So, when do you start buying? after the referral, after the 1st visit..WHEN?
Danny said the other night, "I'm going to be broke, with all her clothes and shoes?" Well, yeah but that's ok... I just laughed because I know she will have him wrapped around her finger! I'm sure he will being shopping just as much as myself! We went to BabiesRus on our first visit to the adoption agency and both of us were totally shocked by all the new gadgets they have out..and in every color. I would love to max out a credit card going there..Well, I just might (shhh). Love you honey!!! :)
We all are just excited, Samuel said last weekend, can't we hurry up this process and start buying?? Johnny wanted to buy her a Christmas ornament tonight...
So, for now we wait...and wait...and wait...

Things are moving right along!
Well it has been an exciting couple of weeks since we decided to go with Kyrgyzstan. I was upset with not going with Guatemala, but I guess that it wasn't God's will. For a few days all we did was "paper chase" going from place to place changing documents, having them notarized, then going to the county to have it certified, and then to Frankfort to have them state authenticated...I hadn't been to Frankfort since my 6Th grade trip ( a long time ago). But now I can get in and out and the security guy knows us now.. As of the 28th we were third in line for a baby girl, as of YESTERDAY we were in third place . TODAY we are FIRST in line for our baby girl...OMG, We were in Wal-mart FIGHTING that horrible crowd of inconsiderate people, when I received an email on my blackberry..Danny was in the opposite direction as I when I'm reading this email...FIRST in line...WHAT???? With tears in my eyes...I had Danny read the email...we both are in shock...We didn't expect this to happen so fast, we thought maybe by the end of Jan. we might get a referral, but not this soon..Then the thought came how much $$$$$ do we have to be prepared to send...WOW..But we know God will take care of that...So, if we get a referral in a week or so that has us traveling around Christmas or just the week after. That would be nice since Danny has the week of Christmas and the week after Christmas off...We will just have to wait and see what God has in his plans...
Now with the name...This has been a challenge for us as a family...When they boys were born we only had Danny and I to worry about..Now we have two boys, oh I dont like that at all, or I know a girl in school with that name and I don't like her...So, we have a couple picked out....
Leah, Olivia, Josie....I guess we'll just wait to see her picture...OH my I can't wait to go shopping...all those hair bows, dresses, SHOES!!! God is so Good!!!
