Today we are just staying home...taking a lazy day. Sitting with our feet propped up..will that is until Josie is done with her nap. We had family over last night for game night. Which was so much fun! Samuel and Johnny played xbox with their cousin.
Josie ran around playing and getting into everything. We all slept in this morning.
Yesterday we fought the crowd at Walmart..It's amazing were do all of these people come from. And how do they fill up two buggies..Where is the money coming from??
It's just aggravating fighting the crowd..And then I always run into a client, family, or strangers that want to meet and talk to Josie..It's a 3 hour event just to go to walmart..Don't get me wrong I love talking and bragging about Josie...Just love it!!! But three hours at nap time...IT's much fun! :)
We needed to get her formula, yes she is 15 months and we have her on
Lipil Next Step. We just felt she needed a little longer on the formula since
she only started it when we brought her home at 6 months. And the fact that her formula there was watered down to half of what she should have had. And I haven't taken her bottle from her.. I think she is ready..But I'm not. Does that make since to anyone. I'm not ready to pack them away FOREVER!!! I don't want her to grow up..And taking the bottle is the first step. She does great with a cup. So, yesterday we decided to slowly introduce her to milk..And she loves it. I have put it in her sippy cup..But still giving her the rest of the formula in her bottle..
So, any thoughts on when I should break myself from the bottle????? LOL LOL :)

Jan. 12, 2008
A year ago...Danny and I boarded a plane...Scared..EXCITED..worried...nervous...are we crazy...and broke..hahaha. That trip I didn't sleep a wink..up 38 hours or was it more..IDK..I just remember feeling like I had the flu I was so tired, but excited to met Josie. We finally made it and met Josie on the 13th..When they laid that sweet baby in my arms...My heart grew..I was dancing inside, the love of a child. To feel her sweet body lay so softly in my arms..feeling her heart beat next to mine. Those amazing brown eyes looking into mine...It was like I was holding an angel. She was so calm..allowing me to take her in...I studied her, smelled her...and FELL IN LOVE!

Dr. Visit and updates
Friday we took Josie to the Dr. for her well baby check up and for shots .
Weight: 19lbs 1oz
Lenght: 29.6 inches long
Dr.Thida said she was doing great and was growing good. We are behind on her shots, due to the fact everytime I schedule an appointment she ends up becoming sick. So, we finally made Fridays appt. She had 5 shots and it took The boys never acted like that..they cried of course. But she was literally pushing and jumping to get out of my arms. It took her about 45 minutes to calm down. And then she slept for 4 hours. She woke up in an awesome mood. Before Josie's dr. appt we went to lunch at Bob Evan's. I'm telling you that little girl can put some food away..It amazes me.
That reminds me the other evening I was out late showing property and Danny fixed dinner. I was eating my in the family room. Josie had already ate and Danny said she ate great. She walks over to my plate grabs my texas toast and I grab it..she pulls and it rips in half...she smiles and said "there"..hahaha She ate that part and then came back for the other half...She just cracks me up!!!!
Ok...back to Friday...AFter lunch we went to our local Social Security office and applied for Josie's Social Security card..We should get it in the next 2 weeks.
I walked in the office with my HUGE brief case of paper work..The clerk laughed
and said is that ALL of Josie's paper work..Yes I said so proudly...Those papers were my blood sweat and tears...People outside the adoption world do not realize the amount of paper work and how HARD it can be to obtain ONE piece of paper..it might takes months..and then it's wrong...you do it again..So, yes that's Josie's paper work...And I had everything they needed!!! WOOOOHOOO
We have been very busy with the boys schedules. Johnny plays for the 7th grade basketball and that keeps us running everyday. Samuel decided not to play this year..He is sooooooooooo addicted to xbox. He says he just wants to play Golf and I'm fine with that. They are growing up so fast..it breaks my heart. Johnny has a really nice girlfriend that has been spending time with us. And it's kinda nice. They are so cute together.
We are planning a trip to Nashville Jan 23-25 to meet some of the other babies from Kyrgyzstan. I can't wait to meet some of my blogging buddies and those sweet babies I check on everynight. It's my nightly things to do.. ok now for some pics :)

The last pictures are when my friends came over, she got that baby from Rylea..her BFF...:) She loves that baby!!!

What a year can do!
Dec. 18 was our 1 year anniversary for our referral. I'm just amazed what a year can do. On the 17th I kept thinking a year ago I never knew about Josie...I was thinking we would never get a referral...should we adopt...I was am emotional wreck. On the 18th. I kept thinking about how happy we are with Josie. And what a difference she has made in our family. I can't wait for Christmas...The joys of having a baby in the house. I have so many picture to post, I guess I'll wait til after Christmas and just post them all.
To all of my blog buddies...What difference has a year made for you and your family?
Blessings to each and everyone...And Let's remember It's Jesus's Birthday we are celebrating...
