We are settling in good here at home! Josie is such a good baby!! She is eating 6 ounces about every 4 hours..We are using the platex bottles w/ the fast/rapid flow nipples. She will take the vent air by platex. She does NOT like cereal at all..
She cries everytime you try and feed her.The formula they had her on in the orphanage, they told us 3 scoops for her bottle when the box said 6!!!!! We did buy some and bring it back and slowly have changed her over w/out any major problems..
She goes to sleep around 9 and gets up around 6:15..WOW!!! Takes a bottle and right back to sleep and wakes up around 9ish!!!! She laughs all the time!!!
We went to the doctor on Monday her first visit. He said she is very heathly! She has gained 4 oz. and grew 3/4 inch! When we picked her up she didnt have any hand eye cordination no leg movements, she was very stiff...she now can pick up toys bring them to her mouth...LOVES to stand and jump. The doctor does want her to go to therapy for the tension in her upper body..she really has come a long way from the day we picked her up!!! She can babble...roll over both ways, track objects, reaches for us and her bottle..laughs out loud. The doctor said she is on track for a 6 month old. Only her weight/height is low 12lbs 7 oz. 24. inches long!!!
She is wearing 0-3 months clothes, size 0 shoes!
The doctor wants her to start cereal, veg's, juice, and fruit!!! Well we have tired it and both Josie and I wear most of it!!!
She is on Enfamil Lipil w/ Iron and will be taking vitamins.
She got 4 shots!!! And has been running a temp and vomited once yesterday when her temp was up!!! But over all she is doing great!!! Now for some pictures!!!!

Oh that black and white one makes me teary eyed! She's so sweet!
The pictures are beautiful...what a precious girl. Kenzie was pretty stiff wen we picked her up, too. See if you can locate a class in infant massage...that and some time and good ole play will loosen her right up! The hating solids sounds familiar, too. We waited a month, and then tried again, and at that point she did just fine. Sounds like she is a great sleeper- that is awesome! thanks so much for the updates. Sorry you had such a rough trip, but I am so glad you all made it home!
I'm just now catching up on your journey home. Sounds like Josie is doing great! She is absolutely beautiful!

She is just beautiful! AP was very rigid as well. She was 10 months and almost acted like it hurt to put her in a sitting up position (she couldn't sit up yet). However, it took no longer than 2 weeks for her to sit up and there were pretty much no signs of the stiffness anymore. I kept reminding myself how stiff I would be if I have laid on my back in a crib most of my life.
Thanks for the update. Sounds like things are going well. She is so sweet.
It took a while for Little Squirt to eat her solids. I started with cereal, then moved to veggies (at lunch) and waited a while to add fruit.
Love the pics!
She is so smiley and beautiful. I am so happy she is home sweet home with her family and her brothers and her mom and dad...She is just precious!
So happy for you to finally have your daughter home! Congrats!!! She's beautiful!
Adorable all the pics!!! She's just like Phoebe in size and wigglewormness:) And she also hates the rice cereal. Wonder what was in that special cereal they were giving her at the orphanage? She'll be out of the clothes soon, P is just now starting to get into her 3-6 months and we've been home a month!

YEAH!!!!!!!!!!! Happy to hear that you are all home and together:) Josie is PRECIOUS!!!!
I cried reading your post...your story is a combination of all three of our adoptions...difficulties at the embassy, praying for miracles, running to catch planes, losing the luggage, no reservations, etc. What a blessing to get our babies home and start our wonderful lives together! Congratulations!!! Josie is an absolute doll!
Aww, she is precious!!!
